A Birthday Soirée

Dane was referred to me a good friend of his, Mark, who upon introducing me, gave me the hardest time possible. Lol, thanks Mark.

Nevertheless, it got Dane and I laughing and our first phone conversation was completely relaxed and mostly centered around talking about our little girls. I could tell this party was going to be fun. :)

The food (catered by Squash Blossom Catering) was spot on. Every bit looked as fantastic as it tasted.

Dane asked me to make sure I got a picture of Amy's surprise! Isn't she radiant?!

Happy Birthday, Amy! And remember, 40 is totally the new 20 ;)

What a weekend!

I had a whirlwind of a weekend. All the April rain sure did have a way of keeping us on our toes.

Here are some sneak peeks of some of the fun things I was apart of!

Last weekend, I had the opportunity to attend Amy's 40th birthday party in the Woodlands. Dane surprised his wife with a little soirée, and it couldn't have come together better.

I got to be part of a rustic outdoor wedding on Saturday in Dayton, Texas. All of the well thought out details made for a really beautiful celebration.

I got to capture some sweet moments for this sweet, (expanding) family. We hung out around Hermann Park and I couldn't stop talking about the similarities between their little girl (Alexa) and my sweet Alexis. :)

Finally, I got to be a part of an absolutely magical evening on Sunday at the Pelazzio in Houston. Batoul is quite possibly the most beautiful bride you'll ever lay your eyes on.

THAT DRESS, RIGHT?!

I can't wait to show off more!

Jarad's Surprise Proposal

I'll start off by saying, I had never done anything like this before.

When Jarad contacted me, he asked if I could follow he and Robin around until he found the perfect moment to propose and snap away!

I decided to enlist the help of my fiancé to make myself appear less conspicuous. (I mean, I am a girl carrying around a giant camera...)

Jarad and I had secret code to let me know that they had arrived. Aaron and I covertly follow them around the Kemah boardwalk. I was so nervous! I didn't want Robin to see me, and I didn't want to miss the moment.

Then, before I knew it, Jarad got down on one knee and popped the question!

Robin had absolutely no idea what was going on until I walked up to her and gave her a big "congratulations!" It was so exciting! I couldn't stop shaking.
